YO-YO Band means “Yotzov – Yossifov Band ”, and it is another creative idea of Hristo Yotsov. His intention is to form a band in which he and Misho Yossifov are hosts and their guests are different musicians – both established names and young performers who are yet to prove themselves on the professional scene. Similarly, once, Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers became an institution in jazz and made many names world famous. The band’s repertoire includes original pieces by the two “hosts,” some of which are brand new and were written especially and exclusively for the Yo-Yo Band, as well as compositions by their guests. The title of their first studio album is simply “Yo-Yo”. It features 10 original pieces by Michail Yossifov and Hristo Yotzov, including “Yo-Yo”, “Funky Monkeys”, “Sharks Never Sleep” (Hristo Yotzov), “Reduta”, “A Rainy Week”, “Close to You” (Misho Yossifov). The cover design is by Hristo Yotsov. The album was recorded in just two days at 88 STUDIO.
