EVDN

EVDN. is part of a new generation of Bulgarian artists redefining the boundaries between jazz, electronic music and contemporary sound art. The project of bassist, composer and producer Evden Dimitrov explores a distinctive territory where improvisation meets modern sound design.
His debut album, TENSION/RELEASE, reflects years of artistic exploration and collaboration with some of Bulgaria’s most popular musicians, including Preyah, Lyubo Kirov, Mihaela Marinova, Trombobby, Orlin Pavlov, So Called Crew, DAYO and Funky Miracle. EVDN.’s music has reached listeners in more than 150 countries, earned placements in influential Spotify playlists such as Fresh Finds Jazz and All New Jazz, and received airplay on stations including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 3, KCRW and Rinse FM.
Alongside his performing career, Evden Dimitrov teaches bass guitar at the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov,” where he encourages new generations of musicians to develop their own creative voices through contemporary approaches to composition and improvisation.
For his appearance in Bansko, EVDN. is joined by an outstanding ensemble featuring Vladislav Michev (Vladko) on flugelhorn and synthesizers, Bozhidar Vasilev (Trombobby) on trombone and synthesizers, Petar Yotov (Peyotoff) on guitar, and Rado Kazasov on drums.
Together they create a vibrant sonic landscape where jazz, electronics, groove and improvisation merge into a powerful contemporary sound. EVDN. offers a compelling vision of the future of Bulgarian music—bold, inventive and unmistakably modern.
