This is precisely where Blagoev Dixieland Jazztet takes its audience—back to the roots of jazz. The ensemble remains one of the most dedicated and beloved ambassadors of traditional jazz in Bulgaria.
At its helm is trumpeter Ventsislav Blagoev, a musician whose long-standing commitment to jazz education and performance has made him one of the leading advocates of the genre in Bulgaria. Together with an accomplished group of instrumentalists, the band presents an authentic sound inspired by dixieland, swing and the early jazz tradition.
The programme features works by Scott Joplin, Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Clarence Williams and other legends of American music. Ragtime, dixieland and swing come together in a concert filled with joy, virtuosity and celebration.
